Your local Council or Parks, Conservation and Lands

The Molonglo Catchment is a cross-border catchment, with different control authorities responsible for weeds in each area. The relevant contacts for your area are provided below. These organisations have a variety of services available to landowners wishing to control their weeds.

Services may include:

• site visits to identify weeds on your property
• advice on preferred management options and control methods
• advice regarding chemical selection and application
• educational services including field days and presentations to  Landcare/Parkcare/community groups and the provision of educational material
• coordination and regulatory services
• cooperative arrangements between landholders and the local council/PCL
• creation of weed/property management plans

Landcare and Parkcare Groups

Your local Landcare or Parkcare group can be a fantastic source of knowledge and may be able to assist you with weed management. Contact the Molonglo Catchment Coordinator to find out more about your local group.
